A fist squeezing a water balloon
In January, as initiated my spring 2020 series, I had no idea that we were headed into a global crisis of health, heart and mind.
I knew I wanted to make a series of abstract works that thematically worked with two concepts. First, Incompressible, as a state of defiant resistance to increasing pressure. Second, Flow as a natural system of actions, reactions and counteractions put into perpetual motion.
Put together, the series Incompressible Flow is an aesthetic encounter with a defiant posture of resiliency.
Like a fist squeezing a water balloon, the contents appropriately only flow around.
