Artwork being oxygen in the room
When my art is brought into peoples homes, it can be transformative. It\’s the art that acts as a kind of oxygen in the room, a breath of fresh air to open the consciousness and clear the mind.
This is my function as an artist, to work with questions that don’t have straightforward answers. This is why I work with photographic abstraction, it\’s allows me to isolate the most important idea, offering up an opportunity for relentless questioning in tandem with self-reflection.
This photogram, Departures From Linearity has found idyllic home above a inviting sofa and basking next to glowing lamp. It\’s easy to imagine a collector resting back, swirling a glass a wine in the evening, working through the Trajectories that are in motion.
