Lyrical Dissonance is a calm and quiet artwork but presses at the urgency of time. It reminds me, almost of leaves being taken and scattered by the wind with the earthy tones fluttering in the bottom half. However, its symbolism is more of a human construct; structured, ridged and divided. The passage of age and time sets the movements in play. One of the things I try to do with my pieces is to instill a sense of kinetic and potential movement that piques our imagination to complete. This is one of those pieces I think I have accomplished this well. It’s poetry of movement isn’t conclusive but always keeps me wondering.
